This is going to be the tale of friendships and heart aches so buckle up and enjoy the ride ! The reason there is an @ beside each name is that these R the twitter names of these folks.

A few months ago I was roaming the rooms at Ustream.tv until I went in to my friend @iellie 's room and met a new guy @admorales. He seemed very interesting so I decided to check his stream. When I went to his stream he was laying in his bed and there were a few other peeps in his chat room one of the peeps was a person called @rachelbabble .I started talking to @rachelbabble and found her to be an interesting person. BTW @rachelbabble is a designer and she is the one who has designed @admorales website www.admorales.tv and her own website is www.rachelfinley.com . A few nights later on a Thursday night I had my QTV show on Ustream.tv and @admorales and @rachelbabble showed amongst other viewers in the chat !! I was very happy to C them . By then I knew @rachelbabble was a girl but I had not seen her yet!! . A few nights after that @rachelbabble started streaming on ustream.tv and my first impression when I saw her was "WOW !!! What a babe !!! " Ofcourse soon I found out that she has a boyfriend and my raw man urges subsided LOL . A few nights went by and I had learned a few things about @rachelbabble including the fact that she is a design student in college and a geek like myself !!! As I got to know her better I found out that she really is a sweet person. A few nights passed and I introduced 2 of my friends to her @harveyfrank and @soundlesschaos (Josh) . That was one of the biggest mistakes I had ever made cause Josh has always had a reputation for having a thing with online girls !!! U C @rachelbabble is one of the sweetest people Ull ever meet. And after a while I got attached to her as a friend maybe even too attached but just as friends and nothing more. Some time passed and I realized that there is something brewing between @soundlesschaos (Josh) and @rachelbabble. I found out that @soundlesschaos (Josh) is starting to have feelings for @rachelbabble !!!. Now what U guys dont know is that @soundlesschaos (josh) has a girl friend called @chaoticlove08 (Amanda). Our friendship between the 4 of us ( @rachelbabble @soundlesschaos @harveyfrank and @jerbear83 (jeremy @rachelbabble 's best friend) ) was getting so tight that we would spend hours and hours every night on Skype hanging out, playing online games and other stuff.

Let me emphasize that @rachelbabble did not have any feelings for @soundlesschaos (Josh) but he had feelings for her. I tried to warn both parties (@rachelbabble and @soundlesschaos) that this could not end up pretty !! I will emphasize again that @rachelbabble never ever had any feelings towards @soundlesschaos but in his mind he was having a relationship with @rachelbabble !! He even went so far as telling @rachelbabble that when he is having sex with @chaoticlove08 (Amanda) he thinks of @rachelbabble !!!. Countless and countless times @rachelbabble had to tell @soundlesschaos that she is not in to him that way she just wants him as a friend !! Anyways It turns out that @Chaoticlove08 was fed up with her Boyfriend @soundlesschaos (Josh) hanging out all the time with @rachelbabble on skype and she was getting jealous of the interest that Josh was developing for @rachelbabble !! It gets soo bad that one day when @chaoticlove08 walks in to @soundlesschaos 's bedroom she just says @rachelbabble is a whore !!! From there on @soundlesschaos was a no show to our skype activities and gaming for a loooong time !! He was forbidden by his girl friend @chaoticlove08 (Amanda) from doing soo !! After a while he did get back online and things were normal for a short period of time !! Until one day early in the morning news broke out on twitter that @chaoticlove08 has left @soundlesschaos !! They had broken up !! Me (@paykan) and @rachelbabble got on skype as soon as we heard to comfort @soundlesschaos !!! In this time Josh kept saying how happy he is now that he is free and can be his own man and talk with who he wants and hang out with who he wants and there is nobody to boss him around !!!
After a while @chaoticlove08 called @soundlesschaos and said ill be there in a few to pick my things up. At this point I jokingly asked Josh if there is a possibility of him and Amanda getting back together when she comes to pick her stuff up !!And then we all chuckled at my question thinking that would be impossible !!
*( a note I have to add is that in this short friendship period of roughly one month between Josh and Rachel there was about 1700 hours of phone calls from Josh to Rachel !! )

Well right at this point I knocked a glass of water over my laptop !! Therefore I didnt have access to the internet until the morning after !!

Well when I woke up the morning after it was like I was living in a whole different dimension !! I was told by @jerbear83 (www.jeremymachetta.com) @rachelbabble 's best friend that apparently Josh and Amanda had gotten back together when she went back to pick her things up and now Josh is not talking with @rachelbabble anymore !! I was shocked even though I kind of knew this could possibly happen !! And that same day Josh and Amanda co wrote an email to @rachelbabble so mean spirited that it made her sob on skype when she read the email !! That is when the friendship between Josh and Rachel was officially over !! So was my friendship with Josh and Amanda !!

A while passed and I started noticing something. I noticed that for some reason Josh was always treated better than me. It seemed to me that he had all the advantages of a true friendship with Rachel while I was getting the short end of the stick !!. He would do what ever he wanted say whatever he wanted act however he wanted and not once did he EVER get a time out or a talk back or a punishment from Rachel for any of that !! Now I maybe wrong about this, and this is where Id ask all the parties involved to correct me if Im wrong !! I did not say anything to Rachel about these thoughts and thought that they would just go away but instead they festered and it got to a point that I couldnt take it anymore and one day I just lashed out at Rachel on twitter saying something along the lines of My Sweetest best friend doesnt give a shit about me !!!.

Now C I am man enough to admit to my mistakes and letting my feelings fester like that and lashing out was one of them !!

What was really hurting me is that I know Rachel is a caring and sweet person but it always felt like I was treated like a second class acquaintance and Josh was treated like the King Of The World ! Again if I am wrong please correct me here guys. I never quiet understood the extreme close friendship between Josh and Rachel. I mean it was to the point that every time Josh needed someone or needed a shoulder to cry on Rachel would drop everything she was doing and rush to his rescue to comfort him !! After all there was the 1700 hour phone call and the basically 24/7 skype thing !! with the exception of Rachel's class time !!. Let me emphasize again that as far as I know Rachel did not have any feelings for Josh in that way !!

Anyways from this point on this question stayed in my head that Y was I treated so differently than Josh? Some may even say I became obsessed with it !! I tried talking to Rachel about this several times in private and each time Rachel would get upset with me and avoid answering the question and just leave the conversation right in the middle of it. One time Rachel did say that she NEEDED Josh and thats Y she treated him differently. But thats the only answer I ever got from her !!! This made me even more upset and curious about the status of my friendship with Rachel that I just decided to up and leave all my Internet activities for a whole week to give Rachel some time to miss me and to also C if anyone even notices me being gone !! The reason I did that is cause I had noticed that every time it was just me streaming video nobody would show up to my chat even thought I tweeted about it but as soon as someone like @admorales showed to my chat and I tweeted that I was streaming and hanging with him others including Rachel and Jeremy would pop in to my chat as soon as they could to hang out and chat !! I thought to myself I have obviously become boring to my friends Rachel and Jeremy cause I have made myself too available too them.


Now I was planning to disappear for a whole week but on the second day I was caught in away and Rachel was pissed at me in some regards with good reason cause she had been worried about me. I now do understand that perhaps I should have talked to Rachel and Jeremy instead of just disappearing on them like that and making them worried. For this I got a time out from Rachel (she is famous for giving me time out punishments !! ) for a few days !! Until one night out of the blue @harveyfrank showed up to my ustream chat and surprised us all cause we had not seen him for a loooong time cause him and Josh R best gaming budddies and hang out 24/7 !!!. Now guess I should go alittle further back and give U some details for this part of the story. C this is how caring and sweet @rachelbabble is, @harveyfrank does not have an ideal living condition and he is always complaining about the fact that him and his mom can not afford to have any food or pay their rent !! So one day (before Josh and Rachel's friendship went belly up) @rachelbabble just decided to bake a whole batch of muffins for @harveyfrank and send them over to him !! Now keep in mind that none of us have ever met in person !! This kind of kindness is very rare these days !! Anyways after a few days @harveyfrank gets the package and eats one of the muffins and gets sick right after !! Apparently the muffins had gone bad in the few days it took for them to get to @harveyfrank !!!. A while after this hapened and certainly aloong time after Josh and Rachel's friendship went belly up one night Josh Amanda and @harveyfrank decided to show up to my Ustream chat for no reason at all !! Rachel also showed up to C Y these folks R back and whats going on !! Apparently that night @harveyfrank sends out a tweet accusing Rachel of wanting to kill him by sending him bad muffins !! LOL Rachel never ever removed @harveyfrank from any of her contact lists as far as I know, I maybe wrong and correct me please if I am !!! But I know for sure that she never ever removed him from her facebook friends list!! Fast forward to the night that @harveyfrank showed up to my chat surprising all of us and all he did was a simple appology to rachel and all of a sudden everything was fine between them !! That very same night ina PM I asked Rachel Y she did not remove @harveyfrank from her Facebook list and she said something along the lines of Keep your friends close keep your enemies closer and then she continued Not that I think of @harveyfrank as an enemy !!! . I have to tell U that @harveyfrank is a nice guy but he is a bit of a blow with the wind kind of a person and he knows it too cause Ive told him that to his face !! Anyways that night Rachel showed up to my chat after afew days of not talking to me and we both agreed that we need to sit down and have a talk about our friendship, infact she was the one who suggested that !! I said ok that is a good idea. Cause Rachel said that if we dont have a talk our friendship will never ever be the same again. Knowing how busy Rachel is cause of her school work I asked her to let me know when she has the time for us to have an audio (skype) conversation about our friendship and she agreed with me . A few days passed by and she did not yet give me a time for talking. I thought to myself thats fine she is busy Ill remind her again and wait. When I did remind her she said something along the lines of nah we dont need a talk we should just move on !!! I was a little surprised by this ,specially since she was the one who suggested it at first,and didnt expect it but went along with it. Everything was shaky fine until a couple of days ago !!

A couple of days ago something personal happened to me that made me extremely depressed and sad. I wrote a few tweets that may have sounded suicidal but that was not my intention. Right here I willl appologize to anybody I may have upset worried or offended by these tweets. Anyways that night in @Lordo 's Ustream chat I PMd Rachel and told her that I was having a crappy day and I needed a friend to talk to and I asked her if she was going to be available for a few minutes on AIM cause I just neeeded a freind to be there for me. From what I gather she had not seen my tweets yet at that time, I may however be wrong. In response she told me that she cant be on AIM tonight cause she is planning a party !!!

I was shocked. I mean this is a person that claims to be my best friend and yet she cant spare me a few minutes when Im telling her I need a friend to be there for me cause Ive had one of the crappiest days ever? The same person that every time Josh needed a shoulder to cry on, would drop everything she was doing to rush by his side either on skype or on the phone !! WOW !! WOW !!
Anyways dazed and shocked by this I sent a message on twitter saying "true friends show themselves when U ask them to be there for u and they flat out reject it !! LOL ".

The next day in @admoarales 's ustream chat I appologized to rachel for that comment on twitter cause I felt bad about it. Earlier in the day Me and @jerbear83 basically had The talk on twiter through Direct Messages. I sent These Direct Messages to Rachel as well that morning on AIM. After reading them instead of answering my questions once more she totally avoided them and instead brought up the topic of my Tweets from the previouse day ( the ones some people thought were suicidal ). I have to tell U that unfortunately Rachel has had to deal with Suicide in her real life but I wont give U too much detail out of respect for her privacy. And I guess reading my tweets had brought up bad memories from her past in her real life. I would like to appologize one more time for offending or upsetting or worrying anybody with those tweets but they were mis worded by me and mis read by people. Anyways Rachel can not C away past this and she decides to END our friendship.

A little later that day got a skype call from Chris Rachel's Boy Friend, and while he really is a nice guy, he accused me of verbally harassing Rachel with those tweets and sending her too many messages on different IM programs through out our friendship period !! After that call ended I PMd Rachel and asked her if I have harrased her in any way and she flat out denied it and said she was not the one saying those things to me those R just her BoyFriends feelings !!!!!

Anyways The Friendship has Ended, time to move on and on that note Im really looking forward to this weeks TNT show on ustream.tv !!!

ok so  as U may know  I am  a social media person wannabe. Yes I said wannabe cause no matter how hard I try to make it it never ever seems to go anywhere !!!! It all started about a year ago when I first got introduced to Ustream.tv and the idea of streaming live video on the Internet !!!! But my blogging goes back to the year 2004 !!!

 

After a  few months of streaming 24/7 people got extremely bored of me and not even my friends bothered to show up any more !!!  So I thought I should come up  with an interesting idea for a  weekly live Webcast  that is  also viewer interactive !!! I called it QTV and the premise of the show was Quizzing the viewers  having them call in live on skype to answer a range of questions from academic  to entertainment  industry related. The show started ok as I streamed it on both Ustream.tv  and live.yahoo.com  simultaneously  at the time. When I say ok I mean it got  about 10 or so viewers and headed down to a steady decline right from the very beginning !!! The decline got even worse  with the unfortunate death of live.yahoo.com !!! Seeing the decline in viewers I decided to mix it up and add Topics of Discussion as well. That held up well for about 3 weeks or so. Anyway cut the  story short the  last episode of QTV I did (scroll down to my blog entry January 8th) had only 2 viewers show up !!

 

Now at the same time I blog whenever something comes to my mind or when I do a  video or whenever I finish an episode of QTV I blog it immediately . Now  with my blogging  I get a  ton of feedback  and comments on each entry, the problem is almost all of them are transparent, See Through or made of material not from this  world thats Y I cant C any of it !!! ( Get my attempt at sarcasm? )

According to sitemeter.com  on a  daily basis I get 1  to 3  hits on my blog  !! wow isnt that a lot? On a  good day after I tweet something that I have blogged I usually get 7 or 8 hits !!! and  usually no comments  or feedback at all !!

 

Not to mention that I have the power of over 170 followers on http://twitter.com/paykan  and  I do tweet every single QTV show (Thursdays 8pm mountain time http://www.ustream.tv/chanel/paykan's-world ) or blog entry and yet this is the results Im getting.

So I am asking U, What do I need to do to get a bigger audience for my New Social Media activities?  Am I really that boring, ugly and  unintelligent that U people cant bare to spend a  few minutes or at most 2 hours a  week  with me?  Lets C how many comments  and feedback this blog entry gets !!

So today is Wednesday Dec 24th 2008, wow. Its only 1 week till 2009 !!!! I thought I should write a post about what happened to me this past year and what Id like to do in the coming year!! If U know me then U know that most of my life is online so I guess this post will also reflect that for the most part. I guess if I was going to tag the year 2008 in my life these would be the perfect keywords: Drama, Struggle, Friends, Sweet Friends, Betrayal, Improvement, Change, Tragedy

Drama LOL :) wow I definitely feel like I was apart of the CBS Daytime Soap's this year with all the drama I was involved in !!! Even though the 2 Drama situations I experienced this year brought alot of heart ache they both had a positive effect on me as well !!! Alot of people showed their true colors some in good ways (@fireman17 ) and some in very surprising and shockingly bad ways (@soundlesschaos). In both situations it was the 2 facedness of a certain "Friend" that shocked me the most !!. The positive side of all the Drama however was that as a result I found alot of new friends some of whom I will name here: @rachelbabble, @jerbear83,@tendersphinx, @orebell (aka Bubba), @fireman17,@cmarlow480, @iellie and ... . If I was to name all of them itll take forever !!! I want to thank @iellie for always keeping an open mind and not taking sides and also for making me laugh and putting a smile on my face through her popping personality most evident in her videos !!! (www.iellie.com). I also want to thank @jerbear83 and @rachelbabble for being my sweeetest best friends !! Specially @rachelbabble, she is the sweeeeeetest most honest person Ive ever met !!!! She is a very talented New Media Designer (www.rachefinley.com) and her personal website hopefully soon to be completed is www.rachelbabble.com !! :)

My Aunts husband passed away a few months ago and he was a great guy. I called him my uncle but in all honesty I loved him like a grandpa !! He was very sweet and caring !!! As a result of his passing my aunt whom at the time lived in Iran took a trip to Canada and the U.S. to visit her kids and she also stayed with us for 10 days !! I had not seen her in over 6 years and missed her a lot.

This year I also started a new live video streaming show called QTV which airs every Thursday at 8pm Mountain time right now. Its a live audience participation show and if U scroll down to my past posts U can view past episodes of the show.

This year like the past 12 years I had to deal with my Rhumetoid Arthritis almost everyday !! It gets better every now and then and flares up again even though in general I am feeling better alittle every year !!!

One thing you may not know about me is that am 24 and have moved about 19 times already!!! U must be thinking I live in a military family LOL, Nope I dont, we just move around alot !!!
Our last move was about 7 months ago from Edmonton to Calgary. All this moving around even though its exciting has made it very hard for me to attach myself to people and try and find friends again.

I guess what I have learned this year is that each negative experience also has a positive side to it.

My resolutions for this coming year of 2009 are:

Going back to school taking my studies more seriously so I can finally finish it up and make something of myself.

Try to find good friends in this new city, people who I can hang out with and also a girl friend.

Id like to start learning coding for websites in my free time, thats something Im interested in.

Excercising more to help me get rid of my Arthrtis.

And also Id like to make my show QTV more successful .

Ok so it seems that my tweets from earlier tonight made quiet a few people think Im suicidal !!!!!! LOL Let me assure U that Im NOT suicidal !!!! I like my non existent piece of crap life too much to be suicidal !!! The past two days have been a major down time for me. A few things happened all at once and its been hitting me hard. My aunt whom I love was with us for two weeks and she left today and I miss her dearly !!!!! It almost made me want to cry!! LOL

Another contributing factor to my major down time for the past 2 days is my arthritis. C what U dont know is that my arthritis has really messed up my hormones and every once in a while I get the dreaded PMS !!!!!! LOL Yup U heard ( in this case Read) me right. It takes me into deep depression and very bad mood swings!!! And I will warn U in this state I am NOT my usual self !! if U ever cross me when I am in this state then may god be with U !!For those of U who know me from my old streaming days on ustream the best example of my mood would be like the night Natasha and her then pals invaded my Yahoo Live chat!!! If U were there at that time then U know that was not pretty!! Its during this depression state that Im always reminded of what a shitty and non existant life I have !!! That takes me into deeper depression !!! Now befor U open up your mouth and say " you have a good life" just because U C me living at home with my parents and having home cooked meals, I suggest that U STOP!!!! Thats the part of my life U C on camera!!! I have not and most probably will NOT show U the rest atleast for the time being cause frankly Im just not ready yet!!! I am willing to bet that not one of U will be able to live my life for one day!!!

Another thing that has realy got me upset is that yesterday I managed to offend one of my best and sweetest friends ever and she is still not talking to me !!! She is/was one of the few people I could have serious and intelligent convo with, no offense to my other friends. :( I hope she'll be able to forgive me soon.

So having all these 3 things hit me up very bad the past 2 days it resulted in my tweets earlier tonight. I hope that explains things :) And I also want to thank all my friends who actually got worried about me and tweetd back :) I love yall. And to all of U who didnt give a shit to respond back well then I guess now we know where we stand. Have a good day :)

WOW !!!!! ok so today is 12:40 am Thursday Nov 20th , 2008. Starting yesterday morning our craptastic Motorola modem started failing big time and like it happened to the previous 6 or 7 modems it just died on us!!! Funeral services for the modem will be held tonight from 5 pm to 9 pm Mountain time !!! Or at least thats when the cable company guy is supposed to come over and bring a new modem with him hopefully !!! Dont U just love the time range they give U? Thats a 4 freakin hour time range for gods sake!!! That reminds me of an episode of Seinfled where Kramer decided to punish the Cable company by making sure he is not home at exactly the time range they had given him !!!!!

If its not apparent enough to U by now since I dont have access to the Internet and most likely wont have Internet until later tonight I will not be able to do the show this week!!!! However this has given me an interesting opportunity!!! Assuming that the Cable guy does show up later tonight as promised and I do regain my access to the internet, I will try my damnedest to not twitter anything or IM anyone just to C if anyone has even noticed me being gone!!!! YES I am going to become a lurker!!! So I am sorry but U wont be getting the usual “ Shower in 10 minutes”, “Going down for my exercises” or “pubic hair in my mouth after the shower” tweets !!!! LOL

I did realize something today when my internet was down!!! I am Fucking addicted!! No I do NOT mean I am addicted to Fucking though that would be a fun addiction ;) , I am addicted to the damn Internet!!! But in all honesty Im kind of glad that my Internet went down today cause I got to spend some quality time with my aunt whom I had not seen since about 6 years ago !!!! She has just lost her husband about a month or two ago and came to our house last night to stay with us for about ten days or so. I love her and she awesomely rocks :) . I also got to play around with Garageband which I think is reason enough alone for someone who has the dough to splurge and buy a mac!!!!Well thats it for now !!! I might update this later on if I still dont have internet or if something else pops into my head!!!!! OMG !! My modem just started semi working right now 1:30 am Thursday Nov20th, 2008 and so far I have no messages of people asking me where I have been all day!! So so far nobody has noticed me being gone!!! Ill update again later :)


Well its 11 pm Thursday Nov 2oth !! I just finished this weeks QTV show and it was awesome!!!! I want to thank everybody who showed up for tonights show!!! Yall R awesome people :) Thank U Josh for hosting the Skype call :) I was able to do the show cause the cable guy showed up at about 7pm and replaced our dying modem!!!!

What do people expect to happen in 4 years? Is it truely enough to do anything major and make big changes for the better? It seems to me that within a 4 year period time slot its way easier to do a lot of damage than it is to improve the situation from the current status !! If it isnt apparent by now Im talking about the U.S. Presidential elections that is underway as we speak!! What do U expect of your candidate to do in his next 4 years? Do U think a 4 year (or at most 8 years) of presidency is enough to do what U want your candidate to do or should the each presidency term be extended to more than 4 years to get things done? FAIL!!!!!! :(

As U have noticed my last few blog entries have been video blogs including 2 episodes of a  show I was test streaming on Both Ustream.tv and Yahoo Live! Called QTV which was an interactive Live call In Quiz Show!!. An Idea that I thought would be a lot of fun and entertaining for people and I thought that it would catch on!!

Boy was I ever wrong!!! The show got a  rocky start with only 10 or so viewers in the first couple of episodes even though I told as many people about it and twittered a  lot about it and even called in to TNT  and told every one watching Tuesday Night Tech about the show the very first week it was on!!!!

Last Night was the 3rd (And most probably LAST) episode of the Show and Nobody showed up!!! I guess now I know how NBC feels with nobody watching their shows and being last place in ratings all the time LOL !!!! Now I know U all have lives and everything and a few of my friends I know were working and or had college classes and tests to deal with and  Im not upset with them at all. But where were the rest of U? Im talking to U guys who pressured me into  coming back and streaming again when I was off for 2 months!!! What happened? Am I really that Boring? I know Im not exactly a  good looking guy so I cant get viewers using my LOOKS!!!! LOL and that is a fact. But I guess I shouldnt have counted on U Internet peoplez as my friends at all!!!

I tired Just streaming and sitting infront of my PC and chatting with people but that got me no where so I thought I should come up with  a  show idea and I did and I worked hard at it too!!!!

I did this Internet (LOL or as @iellie and @ideedee say Innernet) thing so I could escape the fact that my real life is just CRAP right now!!! Last night made me feel  completely worthless and like CRAP!!! It made me feel like  Im not even worth a  few minutes of anyone's time!!! I havent been that down  and depressed in a looooong time.

 

So the Next time one of U Misses me ,as many of U told me during my 2 month hiatus from streaming, U make the time to come and watch me or chat with me when Im available because I am not your puppet sitting infront of my PC streaming 24/7 waiting for U guys to come and  C me as you please for me to entertain U!!!! Im a  person just like U  and  even have a life albeit a  very CRAPPY one right now but still its my life and Im in control of it not U guys!!!!

 

I guess what Im trying to say is that I dont really see the point of  streaming anymore if this is how its going to be, unless im proven wrong by u guys or I can come up with a  sure way of getting viewers!!!! and I am open to suggestions for ideas if U guys have any .

 

I would like to thank my newly found circle of friends @iellie @ideedee @darthgaia05  @saynevarrgh    for cheering me up all the time :) I also want to thank @tendersphinx cause I know she actually cares about me!!! :)

Internet Streaming

Well, after a few months absence from the camera and the Scene of Online Streaming, I am back!!

I am back, I am back, I am back, yay !!! ( Read this part  singingly to the appropriate tune!! LOL and dont forget to move your hands to the tune!!! LOL ).

Ok But all jokes aside, I have begun test streaming again!! Im not back full powered and Im not even sure if I will continue it as of yet!! But let me tell you guys It feels great to be back and getting in touch with old friends again!! I owe this to a few that Im going to name here: @fireman17, @CM, @Jimmymac, and Bubba aka Steiny !!! I also want to thank @iellie  for making me feel welcome on Ustream and in her chat :)  Her Ustream page is http://www.ustream.tv/channel/iellie

I have come back on 2 platforms now and I will continue to be on both  platforms Yahoo Live (http://live.yahoo.com/paykan) and USTREAM (http://www.ustream.com/paykan's-world) as long as my PC can handle streaming live video on 2 places simultaneously.

Let me tell U that since I left USTREAM a few months ago, a lot has changed!! A ton of new features have been added, Im not even going to bother talking about them cause first of all I dont have the time right now and Itll make this entry way too long  and second of all I dont know many of the features yet myself just cause I didnt have time to play around with them yet!!!

So far I have  experimented  with 3  different platforms for streaming live video. Let me give U a little run down of each in my own experience. (Keep in mind your experience may vary and this is mostly just my opinion ).

Ok lets start with the biggest and most well known one USTREAM.tv .  With a funding of 13.1 Million Dollars  (http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/02/29/confirmed-live-video-on-youtube-this-year/) it is a fairly large pond  with many big fish such as Hollywood Actor Dane Cook  and G4Tech TV's Leo Laporte and former  TECH TV host  Chris Pirillo, to name only a few!!  USTREAM also has seen many big events from a  Hannah Montana Concert which  actually crashed the servers due to a huge number of viewers to the many Presidential Candidate speeches and a recent one on one with LL COOL J  that actually happened today (August 27th).

However for a newcomer it can be very hard to feel at home and one with the crowed  at Ustream.tv. This is because of 2 reasons.  First of all USTREAM has a  moderating  system in place that I do NOT agree with. Certain people who R called OPs (operators) run and moderate chat rooms. Yeah it gives USTREAM a cleaner environment but in many cases the owners of channels ( the person who streams the show) dont have a clue whats going on in the chat and who is being kicked or banned for what reason, in part because they totally trust the OPs and in some cases because they could just care less!! this unfortunately leaves a lot of room for  certain OPs to do as they want based on personal problems they may have with a certain user who hasnt even acted inappropriately at all to give the OPS reason for a kick or ban!! Ive seen a lot of that happen on USTREAM and I have even experienced some of it myself!!.

Second of all many of the featured streamers on USTREAM were there from the very beginning and have therefor formed a very tight network of friendship with each other making it almost impossible for a newcomer to insert himself in. As many of U may already know I had an unfortunate and very unpleasant situation on USTREAM which lead to me being forced to leave the platform a  few months ago.  Since then many things have changed including a  managerial shift which was caused by Tim Villanueva ( Chief Technology Officer of USTREAM) the person who forced me to leave the platform , resigning and stepping down.Many of the people who were involved in that situation have now seen the light and have changed their attitude  and I am good friends with them now. But every time I step in to a USTREAM show and chat I still feel a lot of resentment  towards me and a feeling of heaviness settles on  me. Plus lets face it Im a very small fish in a very big pond when it comes to USTREAM and it was the same  before I left the platform!. Im not very entertaining and definitely not even an average looking guy. Which brings me to my next point, being a  guy I do not have the  BOOBS factor  (No disrespect to my female friends and streamers out there, U know I love yall ), and this all leads to me getting an average of 0-2 viewers a day on USTREAM !!!In terms of video image quality with the setup I use which is  a Canon ZR200 Mini DV camcorder as my camera and with USTREAM's highest quality settings, Its still fairly average, sometimes even below average and has a fair amount of pixelation at times!.

When I was forced to leave USTREAM  ( My USTREAM broadcaster was disabled and account deleted ) I immediately looked into other  available platforms. Infact I pulled a trick on USTREAM when my Broadcaster was disabled before my  page was deleted,that Im sure they didnt  expect me to do. What I did was I started streaming  on 4 other platforms and embeded those streams on my USTREAM page!! This was the only way I could let my group of followers and friends    know what had happened. Included in the 4 platforms I tried were Justin.tv and Yahoo Live. After an emergency get together of me and my online friends  Justin.tv seemed to be  a        logical choice for my new platform!    

(This decision was based on the fact that JTV is more mainstream and well known than the other choices)

My streaming on Justin.tv was very short lived since  Justin.tv shut  my account down as soon as they could!!! Thats how close Justin.tv was with USTREAM at the time! The video quality I had on Justin.tv with theire best quality settings  at best sucked big time and I got a video delay of about a minute and half!! While on USTREAM          the video delay is usually about 30 seconds or so. After my account was shut on Justin.tv  I jumped   on a new born project called Yahoo Live!.

On February 17th,2008 my channel on Yahoo Live was created and shortly after I  went on air on Yahoo Live. Of the 3 platforms I have tried and tested Yahoo Live by far has the best video image quality with my equipment I listed above. Unlike USTREAM and Justin.tv Yahoo Live doesnt give U a choice of tweaking picture quality Frame rate or anything like that. Even with that  Ive had the best quality video image on Yahoo Live. When I joined Yahoo Live it was only 10 days old!! Now  you probably dont know this but its been   reported    that  Yahoo Live's development team is a 6 person  personnel!  Not something you would expect from a large company like Yahoo!.Infact here are two very interesting articles about Yahoo Live that you should definately read:

Yahoo Live has many technical shortcomings, one of which is  a very non secure chat system. The ban or kick commands of the chat are faulty at best and  users   can come back within a  few seconds sometimes even with the same user name!!!  This has made Yahoo Live home to many annoying groups such as 4Chan and the many others out there!! They frequent the chats harassing the streaming person and the viewers and keep demanding such things as " Shoe on Head!!! Keyboard on Head!!" The  streams and chats can easily be  hacked by even novices in hacking!!! While other video streaming services can be assumed semi safe for younger adults and people with good taste, the same does not stand for Yahoo Live as I have too often seen naked guys with their penis's hanging out and masturbating on cam!!! or my favorite ,naked chicks on cam :) Now I love those!!! :) 

However all that  aside Yahoo Live is one small tiny pond  and has more room of growth for tiny microscopic fish like myself! Infact the following is a screen capture of my Yahoo Live profile page with my stream stats:

Even with all its shortcomings  I have found a lot of good friends on Yahoo Live such as miss @tendersphinx !! Yahoo Live also has its share of big fish and its own grown celebrities!! The Democratic National Convention was live on Yahoo Live the other day as it was on USTREAM!! Sheena TV is definately worth mentioning as she has become an iJustine of Yahoo Live and the Former American Idol winner Jordin Sparks frequents Yahoo Live all this coupled with the many DJs and other artists that often make it to the front page of Yahoo Live lifecasting!!

The other day when I first came back on both platforms simultaneously  within a matter of minutes I got 15 viewers on Yahoo Live and 1 viewer on USTREAM and the second day I got 0 viewers on USTREAM all day while I had 10 viewers on Yahoo Live!

I guess what im trying to say is that these platforms each have their own positive and nagative points, but I will try my best to bring them closer together and unite  both the viewers and streamers of these platforms !

Before  I close this entry I wanted to mention that my friend JD Carr has lost  thousands of  dollars due to his 2 websites www.gotwebmojo.com and www.gotpartymojo.com being shut down  because NING.com has screwed up! JD my thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope you come back and even  stronger than before !! :)

TV is it really reality?

I want to thank one of my friends @IELLIE for giving me the idea behind this blog entry ,without even knowing it, when she twittered this yesterday :

Its been almost 8 years since the birth of reality television phenomenon.Perhaps movies such as The Trueman Show and ED TV were hints of where the future of Television based entertainmen is headed. But how much of it is truly reality? Ive seen with my own two eyes "Writers: ...." at the end credits of some Reality shows!!! Or "Director: ..."  .  So if these shows are being written and directed can we really call them Reality TV?

To me a true Reality TV is one without writers or directors.The closest thing to that on television I guess would be Big Brother.Nowadays with the improvement of computers and the Internet, many people's entertainment  is their PC rather than TV. Music, Videos, pictures and some people even watch TV on their PC!! So the old definition of  the word Television  being tied down to an actual TV set is really no more. With that in mind, here lies true Reality TV within such domains as Ustream.tv , Justin.tv, Yahoo Live (http://www.live.yahoo.com) and many more live video streaming services that are available out there. True Reality TV is watching Chris Pirillo (http://live.pirillo.com) sit at his desk for hours on end  and then get super excited about the latest and newest gadget or software release or get into a  cute funny quarrel with his lovely wife Ponzi!! Or watching cages and cages of parrots in what seems to be a big room or warehouse on Yahoo Live, or just watch people who go about their daily routine while interacting  with an existing chatroom 24/7. If U thought watching people sleep, or watching an empty office room is boring and pointless, clearly U have not watched any of the streams people do 24/7. An empty office room according to http://live.pirillo.com  can get as many as 700 viewers for hours on end with nobody at the other end to interact with them!!!

 

So I guess to answer @iellie s  question, In my opinion its going to be a looooooooooooooooooong while or perhaps never till the craze for reality TV dies down!!!

But thats just my opinion and Id love to have yours, so please leave your comments on this subject for me and others to read :)

Information Technology Burn Out ?

What did people  do before  the  Personal Computer age? Or as  some of us might call it today the prehistoric days? Im sure if you tell a  7 year old  that you were  born before iPod ever existed the look on the  childs face will make U feel as old as  a dinosaur  !!!! :)

The last couple of years my life (or lack there of ! lol ) has increasingly  become  packed in this box  set on top of  my desk in my bedroom  called my  Computer!. I dont get out of the house much, most of my day is spent sitting infront of my  computer,doing various tasks, social networking, watching  or reading tutorials  for various video production softwares, blogging, twittering,reading on the latest released or  up and  coming  gadgets  and  softwares, chatting, watching  video streams  of other peoples lives!!, and up until a couple of months  ago streaming live  video and chat of my own !. So not only do I not have an actual social life  now this has affected my  Rheumatoid Arthritis as well !! Sitting infront of the computer for  hours   a  day in one position for me  is like drinking poison for  a  totally healthy person! Another thing I have noticed is   how out of touch

But  dont get me  wrong  once in a  while  when my parents manage to get me out of my room kicking  and  screaming  (LOL), I actually have a  great  time !!.

I know people that have  it even worst  than me !! Friends of mine who are OPs on ustream.tv  and wyldryde IRC (geek talk LOL ) Fireman 17 and CM!

Fireman17 is  basically a  24/7  OP on both those networks!! When I say 24/7 Im not kidding you and he is also a  volunteer fireman during the day ( one step ahead of me there cause atleast he has a  semi job out of the house!! ) This poor soul doesnt get any sleep  at  night  except  for maybe  20 or  30 minutes a night!! How  he  survives this is beyond my understanding!! To give U a better understanding of the scope of his online 24/7 activities  I should tell you that he has to police at least 30 or  so chatrooms on ustream.tv  and  at least 30 or  so chats on the wyldryde network!!

The same thing  but  at a smaller scale goes for CM.

If  you are just an occasional internet user then you are not at all familiar  with what Im about  to talk  about, but if U  are an  avid internet user like myself  and  my friends CM and Fireman17  then U  may even have experienced what im about  to talk about.Internet bullying  and harassment!!. Im not  going to go into  alot of detail about this  cause its  out of the range of the topic of this post. But I will say this much. A few months  ago  me and a   group of my online buddies  went  through a  big Internet bullying  and harassment case that got dragged for a few months  almost everyday  the same group of people  from ustream.tv  would harass me and my friends!!. Dont get me wrong Im not writing this to start up anything with ustream.tv or  those people (most of  whom Im friends  with now cause they manned up  and apologized ),  but Im just mentioning it as a  side effect of losing your life  to the attractive trap I call the Internet !!. The amount of stress that this can cause  in  someone's  life ( or lack there of ) that is  wholly internet dependant, is incredible  and can even cause physical and emotional sickness and illness and distress!. Now my friends Fireman17 and CM are going through  something  similar but I doubt as intense  as what I went through, by the same  group of people  who masterminded  the attacks on me  back then !! for more info on that go to :

Back when I used to stream live video on http://www. Ustream.tv, http://live.yahoo.com/paykan  and other streaming services, I had become this hypnotized zombie, sitting  at my desk staring at my monitor, waiting  for people to come in to my chatroom  so I could talk to them!!! I would not even get out of my room  for dinner or lunch!! Id bring them up  and eat infront of my camera  setup so I could  chat  with the peeps in my chat room!! For  a  while id even leave my camera on at nights when I went to bed  and my stream truely 24/7  so people  could watch me  sleep!! LOL, so I finally came to  and  saw it  for the horrific addiction that it was  since  about 2 months ago.

 

With the  rapid  growth  in popularity and number of social networking sites, Instant messaging programs, smart phones and devices I foresee a sudden crash and halt of this culture coming soon, either that or  an isolationist way of life  brought on by the abuse or miss use of devices or programs  that were once designed to bring us together!!!

Ok so I dont go out much, Im usually sitting infront of my computer everyday, but when I do go out occasionally, I have a great time. Saturday we went to a park picnic with our Iranian friends, yes the same ones we went out with a few weeks earlier to another park. These guys are huge fans of picnicking in the park and BBQing :) The Drive was close to 2 hours and 45 minutes from our house!!! It was a beautiful place and alot of fun. Unfortunately it was a bit of a bug and mosquito fest!! We were eaten alive by bugs and mosquitoes!! I have mosquito bites in places I never even knew existed!!! LOL

"The Nightmare"

Early this morning I woke up with one of the most disturbing nightmares I have had in years!! I am going to try and describe the nightmare to U in detail here

It was late at night like about midnight and the weather was very warm and humid so me and my grandma decided to get out of the house for a short walk to cool off. We were right infront of our house and my grand ma was a few steps in front of me when I noticed something strange in the dark and cloudy midnight sky over the city. It looked like 2 passenger planes ( or the blinking lights that U C ). One of them took my notice. It seemed like it was just hanging in the air ( kind of like how a helicopter does ). Then after a few seconds it started slowly spinning in one direction and then the other direction!!! I thought it was doing some sort of an acrobatics air show!! (Talk about being stupid in my own nightmare!!! LOL ). So I pointed it out to my grand ma and said: Look its doing some sort of cool strange acrobatics show!!

After a few seconds the plane stopped spinning and it seemed to move forward like a normal aircraft would , flying. that didnt last more than a few seconds!! All of a sudden the tip of the plane took a deep dive!! Right then I realized that all along the plane had been experiencing technical problems and now it was going to fall to the ground!!

I screamed from the top of my lungs to my grandma: Its going to fall!! Its going to fall !!!!

and then the plane picked up an incredible amount of speed and came almost straight down and then disappeared from sight, after a few seconds a cloud of smoke and fire rose up from the ground afar !!

Me and my grandma in shock and distress ran inside the house to tell my parents about what we just saw and figure out whats happened. there was nothing on TV about what had just happened. So I went upstairs to tell my mom. After I told her everything I took a look outside from the window to C whats going on. What I saw was horrific !! Fire had engulfed the whole city and was rapidly growing and spreading like the domino effect taking over buildings and houses and it was only two more rows of houses until it was going to reach ours!!! so me and my mom ran downstairs screaming Fire Fire !!! Get Out !!!

and right then I woke up!!

Surprisingly I didnt wake up screaming or anything like that but rather very calm but disturbed!!!

Well that was my nightmare for you.

Well, the other night I went to C the movie WALLE with my dad. It was a very interesting experience. With the lack of dialogue (Less than 1 percent) in this movie the creators had to rely heavily on building the characters through showing their emotions with very well done facial expressions and giving the characters very likeable and cute personalities. In my opinion this totally made up for the lack of dialogue.

 

Aside from that I think the movie had a few very interesting and somewhat subtle messages for the viewer. The main message of the movie was for us to take care of our planet and be more environmentally aware. However WALLE had an underlying message which I found very interesting.The movie held Big Corporation responsible for all bad that has come to humanity. Under the name BigNLarge which owns everything from soft drinks to gas stations and supermarket chains, Big Corporation was portrayed as a manipulative, brainwashing force behind everything that had happened to humanity. Good example of this is the classroom scene where the teacher is teaching the preschoolers:" A is For Axiom... B is for BigNLarge..."

 

Another yet subtle message of the movie was the effect of computers and the Internet on our daily lives.Everyone was so busy staring at the hologram monitors in front of them that they were totally out of touch with themselves and their surroundings and  machines had took control of their lives. But once the system was shut off it was like they all woke up from this deep coma they were in.

 

All in all the movie was very nice and worth seeing.

One super scorching day today!! It was plus 32 C  all day!! And I was seriously melting!!. Of all the days I could've used Cold Drinks or Ice cream we were out of both!!!

And YES that Rice Ice cream is extremely tasty and way better than any Soy products!!

Late Update

Hi everybody. Its been a few days since I updated my blog. I have been lazy and busy at the same time. I also have been looking for a desktop publishing app for my blog so I dont have to come to blogger.com every time. I found a plugin for Firefox called ScribeFire that I am using right now for this post.





Anyways this past Sunday was probably the hottest Ive ever experienced since coming to Canada 12 years ago. To avoid the heat at home we went to a park picnic with another Iranian family. It was a beautiful and big park at that.





As you ca C from the picture below a river runs through the park that just makes it even more beautiful.













And here is a pic of me at the park before I discovered a huge spider is crawling up my Jeans!!!! (ewww) I wish U could C me in my Jeans, I looked so 80's!! LOL












I have decided to do Powerjug everyday for at least 45 minutes a day and the last couple of days I took my camera with me to show U guys how unfinshed our neighborhood is !!!





















So, no air conditioning, and not able to open windows, a nice cold glass of Aab Aalbaaloo (Sour Chery Juice) made in Iran is the only thing that keeps me cool everyday up in Hell Warm room!!!

Yesterday we had one of the hottest days of summer Ive ever experienced since coming to Canada 12 years ago!! It was 22C outside but in the house it felt like Hell!! Specially with no air conditioning yet since the house isnt even done!!! My room was so hot I had to drink 3 huge
glasses of berry juice mixed with Cold water and Ice!! :


and Im the kind of person that never drinks that much liquid during the day!! LOL


Today is another equally scorching day at 20C!! When u have a house that doesn't have an air conditioning and is located in an area so new that they are still building houses. when U open your windows, you are bound to get alot of bugs and sorts in the house!! Specially bees!! Now my room is located upstairs and my mom who is stting downstairs just screamed and when I asked whats going on she said "Bee!! A bee just flew in!!! . I hate bugs and bees and quiet frankly Im terrified of them!!. I just went to a frantic state when I realized that a bee has flown in to the house!! U shouldve seen me!!! LOL Screaming like a little girl even though the bee was no where near where I am. I didnt even C or hear the bee!! LOL. I think I seriously need therapy for my fear of insects and bees and snakes and even some human being (Joking) LOL!!

By the way Im having a glass of berry juice exactly like yesterdays right now !!! :)

Hay everybody. How U doin?
OK so here is whats been bothering me technologically lately.
A few weeks back after we moved to our new city, we changed our cell phones and got new LG285 model. If am not mistaken (And if I am please correct me and let me know) this phone is supposedd to come with a USB 2.0 cable for connecting it to the PC. But the cable is no where to be found!!! I looked at the package and t doesnt say anything about any USB2.0 being included!! I also checked the internet to C if I can buy this USB for my phone from anywhere with out any luck!!. here is a pic of my phone. The One On the Left is the one Im talking about:

Well, Our Term is finally over!!! Yuppity dooooo!!!!!! Last night I was invited to a party hosted by two of my friends Joe and Owen (JoWen). It was awsome. I actually was dare I say Popular last night!!!! I think I even danced with Kevin ( a guy) !! and I wasnt even drunk or anything!!! lol. It was a romantic slow dance too. lol. It was a great time. And O Yeah, we finally finished our Music Video projects!!! maybe Ill post mine here sometime later.
